What You Need To Know About Oily And Dry Skin Care

All skin types have certain advantages and disadvantages. With dry skin, the downside is the fact that this skin type is the most prone to wrinkles and lines. The good news is, however, for people who have dry skin is the fact that it is not all that prone to break outs of acne. Because there is lack of oil in the skin, clogging of pores is less likely to happen.

Dry skin is characterized by roughness and tightness. There will also be flakes on the skin. This is especially seen on the face as this is the area most exposed to the sun. Skins on the shins, the hands, and the sides of the abdomen are also prone to dryness. In hot weather, it often peels off while cold weather tightens it up.

Genes being the culprit

Still, having dry skin can be really frustrating as some skins may crack because of the extreme dryness and there is actually nothing that we can do about it as it is inherited. All people and dermatologists can do is to control the dryness as much as they can.

Ichthyosis is the term used by skin experts for dry skin that is inherited while xerosis or asteatosis is the drying of skin in the later stages of life.

Although it is largely genetics, dry skin is often controlled through the use of moisturizers. This is actually one of the few essentials of skin care for all skin types but very crucial when it comes to people with dry skins. It helps the skin maintain its suppleness and moisture.

Choosing a moisturizer

When buying a moisturizer, the first thing that you should ask about the product is made for those with dry skin. Remember that moisturizers are used by all skin types. The formulation of each kind however will depend on the skin type for which it is made. It is important then that you buy a moisturizer that is manufactured specifically for the needs of a dry skin.

Vaselines and petrolatum are some of the most effective moisturizers in the market. They are however not often used especially on the face because both tend to be greasy on the skin.

Another are ointments, which like petrolatum, are also oil-based; moisturizing creams which contain oil and water; and lotions, which are the most popular because it can absorb quickly.

Oily skin can be really tricky to take care of because one wrong move can spell disaster for the skin. One must remember that among the basic skin types, oily skin is perhaps the most sensitive and easily triggered.

Although having oily skin will lessen the possibility of developing wrinkles and lines early in life, one will compensate by being prone to acne, pimples and all sorts of blemishes. This is because over-activity of the sebaceous glands make it more likely for the pores in the skin to get clogged. Clogging of pores with grime, dead skin cells and bacteria trapped inside, can result to swelling and red bumps.

Below are some of the tips that will help you take care of your oily skin.

1. Choose what you put in your face

Oily skin can be very sensitive to irritation. This makes choosing the products that will not irritate the skin all the more difficult. For despite having products that are made especially for oily skin, there are skin types that are very allergic to some ingredients.

It is also recommended that people with oily skin refrain from using cosmetics and skin care products that are oil-based or those that are oily. Using oily products will only add to the oil already on the skin. They should instead use water-based products that are easily removed.

2. Wash your face

Another solution to a problem is the frequent washing of the face. This is done to prevent the build-up of oil on the skin which in turn will prevent the occurrence of acne. Basic hygiene is the single best solution to acne problems in oily skin.

3. Remove Make-up

Another reason why pores are clogged is the interaction of chemicals and oil on the skin. To prevent this, avoid sleeping while there is still make-up on your skin. This is actually a no-no for all skin types but all the more important for people with oily skin.

4. Be consistent with your treatment

In taking care of oily skin, it is important that you are consistent with your treatment. Most people with oily skin will probably be asked to use cleansers and then toners. Astringents are also popular as it helps exfoliates the skin and remove dead skin cells on the surface. Moisturizers are sometimes forgone because the skin is oily and moisturized as it is.

Organic Skin Care – Why Natural Is The Way To Go

Skin care has become a concern among many people today. Whether you are an adolescent worried about how you skin will look for prom, or a middle-aged individual trying to prevent wrinkles, how you care for your skin is important. The key is to properly cleanse your skin while making sure it retains all the essential oils that are necessary for that healthy, radiant glow.

There are many different types of skin care products available on the market for every skin type imaginable. Many of them, however, contain substances that can actually prove harmful to your skin. That is why many companies are starting to employ the use of natural oils and minerals in their products, and the results are adding up.

The first step to caring for your skin is knowing its type. If you have oily skin, for instance, you would not want to use products particularly rich in oil. If your skin is dry, it probably needs oil. If you have a combination of the two, never fear; there are products that will cover that as well. Once you have established what skin type you have, you need to find products suited specifically for it.

Seaweed is good for oily skin types, as it contains extracts that help wipe away the oil without stripping your skin of the essentials. One important rule to remember is that oil does not equate to moisture, so just because you have oily skin, that does not mean you should not moisturize it as well. Choose oil free toners and moisturizers for your oily skin. Also, be careful not to cleanse too often, as doing so may take away some of the oils your skin actually needs. Tea tree products also work well on oily skin.

If your skin is dry, you might choose products with Vitamin C, which has been proven to help revitalize skin. Such products usually contain some oil, which will help balance your skin. The toner and moisturizer you use will also likely contain oil, so as to give you an even skin tone.

If your have combination skin, you might look for products that advertise for normal to oily or normal to dry skin. Depending on which you are: normal with a bit more oil in certain areas, or normal with some dry patches, there are natural products that will help you keep that glow. Again, vitamin C products are often good for this skin type.

No matter what skin type you have, be consistent. Try to choose a regimen of products that include the same or similar vitamins and oils. Cleanse regularly, but not too often. Be sure to tone and moisturize, as these are two very important steps. If you want to retain that natural look, natural is the way to go.

Every Man Over 55 Has Face Wrinkles – Do You Have Deep One’s Yet?

Some men have small face wrinkles that are getting bigger by the day. And some people like me, who didn’t use skin cream moisturizers and UV-A block out throughout their lives have deep face wrinkles. Are you with me – or still one of the lucky one’s!

I don’t mind so much that I have wrinkles, it’s just that they are getting deeper by the day making, me look old, tired and drawn. I exercise every day, drink water and watch my diet, and I’m certainly not overweight, yet I still look like a wrinkly old man at 63 years old.

It finally got to me, so I decided to investigate what I could do about it on the Internet. Being a reasonably logical type, I thought it would be easy to find a skin care cream solution. However, I was confronted by tens of thousands of websites all willing to relieve me of my hard earned money for a miraculous remedy. This became confusing, so I decided to learn the facts about face wrinkles.

I always thought the Internet was a time waster, however, I now realize it’s a great, simple way to find information that’s useful, if you get past all the rubbish first.

The simple facts are our skin degrades as we age because we lose the two main building blocks for skin health collagen and elastin. The reason these two proteins are so important is because they make up a large percentage of our bodies proteins, over 30%. Therefore, it makes sense that if your levels are degrading daily your skin will sag and wrinkle.

I figured the solution was to find a skin care cream that can increase our collagen and elastin levels. Recently, I happened to find a new skin cream that can do that. Now I’m using it religiously morning and night just like the label on the tube recommends.

It’s only been a couple of weeks since I started, and I’m pretty pleased with the results so far. My wrinkles haven’t changed noticeably yet, although the moisturizing has changed their definition somewhat. I don’t think there will be much wrinkle change for at least a couple of months. I have noticed my skin has improved considerably though. It’s not dry, itchy or flakey anymore; it looks and feels smoother than before.

I plan to keep using this skin cream for face wrinkles for at least 3 months to give it a good test. I’m not expecting miracles with regards to my wrinkles greatly reducing or disappearing I only want them to improve a little so I don’t look older than I am. After all a man over 60 without any wrinkles at all would look rather odd?

If your interested to find out more about the skin cream I’m now using, visit my website below.

Anti Aging Skin Care and Treatments Dermatologists Use and Recommend

“Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s fairest of them all” might have been the uttering of one of the most hated characters we have come across, but this concern for outward good looks is too deep-rooted in the human psyche. The basic concept of beauty has been and remains to be soft, flawless, glowing skin. Advancing age, however, takes its toll and the skin becomes blotchy, rough and dull. Seen from this angle, the topic ‘anti aging skin care and treatments’ calls for sincere reflection. The sagging and sinking skins have had enough of natural beauty tips that do really well unless scars and wrinkles steal appearances and the once healthy skin falls an easy prey to advancing age. It is time now that they get some insight into the steps being taken in anti aging skin care and treatments.

A number of aesthetic or cosmetic plastic surgery like face-lifts, thread lifts, fat transfer and a host of non-surgical skin refinishing treatments are now available to fight back the impacts of aging and the harsh treatments meted out to skin. Given the wide selection of skin-rejuvenating treatments, it is preferable that a reliable dermatologist be entrusted with the responsibility of working out the ideal anti aging skin care treatment to eliminate and soften the effects of aging.

The recommended skin care regimen prescribed by the skin specialist may be a singular or a combination cure, depending on the seriousness of the condition, age and other health related issues. The surgical part of the treatment is handled by the skin specialists but the follow-up skin care program necessitates total patient involvement.

The following section elaborates some of the anti aging skin care treatments, which can be used at home:

Glycolic Acid – Glycolic or ‘fruity acid’ treatments are good for pigmented aging skin. The bleaching-cum-moisturizing action of this anti aging skin care treatment removes the skin blotches and smoothens the rough, sun-damaged skin, reviving its natural freshness. Available in two forms (cream and face wash), Glycolic Acid should be applied to the face twice daily or as recommended by the skin specialist. There are no serious medical problems associated with the usage of glycolic acids other than causing temporary skin irritation and redness sometimes. It is regarded as a safe anti-aging skin treatment. Caring for the rejuvenated skin involves use of sun block creams too.

TCA Skin Peels – The TCA skin peels are the most sought after anti-aging skin care treatments, because these medium strength peels are perfectly safe and essentially effective. They fight back the ravages of advancing years by removing facial lines and wrinkles and give back the skin its lost elasticity, suppleness.

The best thing about this easy-to-apply, home-based anti-aging skin care treatment is that its effect lasts up to a year or so. Twice a year application of TCA peels will certainly benefit the skin and are now available for at home use (see the link below).

Adding some natural skin care tips like hydrating the body inside out, going for a balanced diet (containing anti-oxidants), a little meditation and other health tips summarize a full-fledged anti aging skin care program.

How To Erase Dark Under Eye Circles-New Under Eye Cream Erases Bags & Wrinkles

I can’t tell you how often I’m told that I look tired because of the dark circles under my eyes. I guess some people don’t realize how embarrassing this is… I have been plagued with dark circles since my early 20s! I don’t have to worry about them anymore because I found Hydrolyze.

Two Skin Problems Cleared With One Treatment!
A leading anti-aging skin care company developed Hydrolyze. They succeeded at creating one the most effective eye creams that clears up to of the most frustrating facial skin conditions… dark circles under the eyes and wrinkles.

Hydrolyze works so well at making your eyes look younger and brighter because it combines the most effective leading ingredient for reducing serious dark circles and bags, Haloxyl, with Matrixyl 3000, the most advanced anti-wrinkle ingredient known to science, proven to reduce visible deep wrinkles by up to 68%. It’s almost impossible not to notice a visible difference after applying it for just a few weeks.

Why Dark Circles Form In The First Place
Despite what most people think, deep, dark circles under your eyes are not primarily caused by being tired or stressed. Instead, dermatologists and plastic surgeons agree that dark circles are caused by capillaries that leak blood close to the skin’s surface. When this blood begins to oxidize, it turns a bluish-red color, similar to an ugly bruise. Since the skin under the eyes is very thin, this leads to the appearance of embarrassing bags and dark circles. The more transparent your skin and the more blood that pools under it, the darker the circle appears. Over time the discoloration can become permanent.

Hydrolyze’s main active ingredient, Haloxyl, has been proven to help decrease the leaked blood under the skin by using a series of natural enzymes that break down the blood and cause the dark circles to fade. Haloxyl does not only reduce dark circles, it helps strengthen the capillaries to help prevent them from leaking.

Need Proof?
In a clinical trial, more than 72% of the women who had serious dark circles and used Haloxyl saw a visible reduction in the dark color under their eyes. These findings were confirmed using high-speed laboratory photography that clearly showed a significant reduction in the appearance of the blue and red color that make up dark eye circles.

Contains Matrixyl 3000-The Most Advanced Wrinkle Reducer Known To Science
Matrixyl 3000, one of the most effective wrinkle reducing compounds ever produced, makes your eyes look younger because it gets rid of the wrinkles. Because of its advanced wrinkle fighting technology, the clinically proven compound actually stimulates collagen production to help decrease the visibility of deep wrinkles by 68% and increase the firmness of your skin quickly. All natural Hydrolyze was designed to be safe and gentle enough for everyday use.

Until now, Hydrolyze was hard to find and only available through plastic surgeons’ offices in New York and Beverly Hills. The age-defying power of Hydrolyze can be yours today too. You can now erase wrinkles and dark under-eye circles without visiting a doctor’s office, dangerous cosmetic surgery, or painful Botox injections.
