what is a good natural skin care routine for sensitive skin?
I’ve heard all these things about skin care routines (clean, tone, moisturize) but I’m not sure what I should use. I have very sensitive skin and very natural products work best. My skin does not get very oily or have a lot of acne, so I don’t need anything extreme. Ideas? Thanks!
=)
The 1st step of your sensitive skin care routine is to remove eye make-up. Choose an eye make-up remover that is meant for sensitive skin.
* Pour some eye make-up remover on a cotton wool pad.
* Apply gently to remove all eye make-up.
* Dip a cotton bud in eye make-up remove and remove all last traces of stubborn eye make-up.
The 2nd step in your sensitive skin care routine is facial cleansing. Avoid soaps and facial washes. These will remove oil and moisture from the skin and increase your skin’s sensitivity.
Choose a hypoallergenic, light cleansing lotion instead.
Choose appropriate skin care products designed for your skin type. Eg Neutrogena And Clean And Clear Which I Use < Reeally Good Plus They Do Ones For Diffrent Skin Types OiIly Senitive Etc .
The 3rd step in your sensitive skin care routine is facial toning.
Avoid commercial facial toners totally. Even the mildest toner can cause the skin’s natural protection to breakdown.
Use the following steps to freshen up your face.
* Splash warm water on your face. This will help to remove all traces of facial cleanser and residual eye make-up remover from your skin.
* Use a soft towel to lightly pat your face dry. Do not rub the skin as this could irritate it.
The 4th step in your sensitive skin care routine is moisturizing.
It is essential to keep your skin well moisturized. This will strengthen it. The moisturizer will form a protective barrier against irritants.
Choose appropriate skin care products designed for your skin type. Check out this article on moisturizers.
ALSO TRY A GOOD TOP TIP IS TO STEAM YOUR FACE BY GETTING A POT FILLIT UP WITH HOT WATER PUT YOUR FACE IN BUT NOT TOUCHING IT THEN PUT A TOWEL OVER YOUR HEAD SO YOUR IN COMPLETE DARKNESS LEAVE FOR 10 MINS YOU WILL SEE IMIDIATE RESULTS !
I sometimes have sensitive skin as well! i recommend using a cream cleanser. it’s by Aveeno in a light tan-ish bottle and it says Clear Complexion Cream Cleanser. It makes my skin smooth and soft after using it and is gentle on the face for sure. Plus, it has natural ingredients in it and that’s always great! i hope this works for u!

I would suggest products from the mark. line. It is sold through Avon and these products are made with super fruits and super foods so they are very rich in vitamins and antioxidants and are more natural than many lines. They are non-comedogenic, fragrance-free, oil-free and allergy tested.
I would recommend the "Calming Effect" cleanser because it is soap free, so it won’t dry you out which can be very irritating on sensitive skin. It uses banana and oak milk protein.
Sometimes exfoliating can be irritating on sensitive skin but our skin needs this in order to keep up with the natural skin shedding process. We have to remove the dead skin cells to aid in the production of new skin cells and unclogging pores, aging, etc. You should try the "Go With The Grain" exfoliating beads and mix a small amount of that with the "Calming Effect" cleanser for a mild yet useful exfoliation.
For your freshener you should use "Mist Opportunity" it works by refreshing your skin, minimizing pores and works to set your makeup in place after you apply it. (just spritz it throughout the day if you need a little freshening). It contains NO alcohol but has cleansing nutrients and antioxidants to help protect the skin.
For your moisturizer you should use "Calm & Composed" which reduces skin redness and provides calming and soothing relief. It is quick absorbing and oil free. It has avocado, shea butter, oat, and algae extract so it’s definitely good for sensitive skin.
You should also use a mask 1-2x a week as needed. I would recommend "Calm Yourself" which contains green tea, cucumber, lemon and orange. It will improve skin clarity, tone and your skin will look and feel fresher.
I am a licensed Esthetican so skin care is my passion. I am also a Avon Representative and if you order $16 from the Mark line by July 12 you get a free full size mask. You can get the "Calm Yourself" mask for free. Visit my online store if you would like to purchase at http://www.youravon.com/sshoberg and also you can check out my website for more information http://www.morethanjustface.com
If you every have any questions at all please feel free to email or call me.

Taking Vitamin C daily (boosts immune system and is an antioxidant – I take half a teaspoon daily of the crystals with lots of water and a straw to keep it from getting on my teeth) and Odorless Garlic Capsules (anti-bacterial) have helped get rid of my acne. Also, stay away from all junk foods and sugars (refined sugars, additives and preservatives are likely to make you break out). Your best bet is to have a very healthy diet: lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, and fish is the best meat for you. Limit your intake of starchy foods like breads and potatoes. What you put in your body is more important that what you put on your skin.
I like to use extra virgin cold pressed olive oil each day under my makeup and before bed. I have also heard that Vitamin E cream is good for the skin.
Doing facial exercises can increase blood flow to the face and improve your complexion. I like using the following program: http://www.carolynsfacialfitness.com/the-benefits-of-facial-exercises
Also, use an exfoliant with soybean oil in it with exfoliating gloves once a day. I prefer to use Dove Gentle Exfoliating Beauty Body Wash or Neutrogena Visibly Even foaming cleanser. This will make your skin feel very smooth over time.
Hope this helps!
